March 17, 2010 - With the January date being canceled by the track because of the heavy rain, this is our first race of the 2010 season.  Along with all of the participating companies that have been involved with SCEDA we want to say thanks to: Meziere Enterprises, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, Terminator Blocks, Clutches, & Accessories, Arias Pistons, Calvert Racing Suspension, Ron Miller, Cal Automotive, and Scot Paul.

Calvert Racing Suspension – Stock/Super Stock Combo category who wins a SCEDA event, using Cal-Tracs Traction Bars and displaying a Calvert Racing decal on their car will be rewarded with an extra $100 bonus.  Runner up finishers who meet the same criteria will receive $50 for their efforts.

 

Ron Miller of West Coast Supercops in Torrance California has put up $100 to the first SCEDA racer who cuts a perfect light during eliminations (does not include Juniors) on Saturday the March 27th.  If no one does it on Saturday it will roll over to Sunday March 28th.  When you see Ron please make sure to tell him thank you for this award.

 

Chris Lee from Cal Automotive in Phelan, CA 760 868-2700 will award to the first person that goes red in eliminations in Meziere Electronics or Mickey Thompson non-electronics $50 on both March 27th and 28th.  Thanks Chris and Cal Automotive for this creative award!

 

Scot Paul “Best Package – 1st Round” Terminator Blocks, Clutches, & Accessories Junior Dragster Former Junior Dragster Dad, Scot Paul, will award to the Best Package in the 1st round of Junior Dragster a $50 savings bond.  Best package is your reaction time plus amount over your dial in.  Bring your time slip to SCEDA Headquarters to confirm that you are the winner!

 Highlights for the upcoming events!

 

  • Winners each day will receive a SCEDA “BIG GUY” Trophy and a SCEDA Event Winners decal.
  • Winner each day will also have photo taken in winners circle or on track and will receive an enlarged framed copy of photo at the following event. Winner is responsible for making sure we have a photo prior to leaving the event.
  • Winner each day to get $1,000 guaranteed minimum to win in Meziere Enterprises Electronics.   
  • Winner each day to get $500 guaranteed minimum in Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels No Electronics
  • Winner each day to get $500 guaranteed minimum in Calvert Racing Suspension Stock – Super Stock Combo
  • Payouts in all classes (except juniors) are based on daily SCEDA Series entries and are Progressive. 
  • The winner of each day’s events will qualify for one free entry into the Prestigious Race of Champions to be held in conjunction with the last weekends’ events.    
  • Terminator Blocks, Clutches & Accessories Junior Dragsters - savings bonds $300 win, $150 runner up, $75 semis each day. (Reservation only - limited to 32 car field).
  • Arias Pistons Dial Rite - to be held prior to the last time trial of the day each day.  The cost is only $10 and the winner will get back 100% of the amount entered each day.  (All classes)
  • Race of Champions – will be back with a new sponsor to be announced prior to the event.  Watch for press release.
